The NEXT Weekend Recap

This weekend was like no other. With recent legislation passed announcing that Juneteenth is now declared a national holiday, the Black Mecca of the world had to celebrate all weekend long. Atlanta is known for being considered as “Black Hollywood” so normally the Juneteenth activities would consist of the usual West End activities. However, this year you know that Atlanta had to go all out this weekend. You know that All The Parties got you covered with the latest parties that happen in the A!

To kick start the weekend on Juneteenth HBCU Alumni Reunion decided to throw a block party and it was lit. In the Old Lady Gang Parking lot, some of your favorite DJs took over the party vibes and it was everything. Some of the DJs include DJ Stormy, Dj Skill Z, and Lady Boom Box and they made sure you walked out feeling proud to be black. During the event DJ Unk performed his infamous hits “Walk It Out” and “2 Step”, as he encouraged kids on stage with him as he performed. Moreover, on Peachtree Street  there was a lit Culture Park Expo that had some live performances with food and drinks. 

If you were not into going to a block party then Stone Mountain Mall had you covered. Stone Mountain Mall hosted their own Juneteenth celebration where they made it almost impossible not to shop black for the entire day. With their black excellence illuminating in the air, some local artists decided to perform during the event while Hot 107.9 hosted this lit event.

However, Sunday night the Nawfside took the prize for being the most lit! At Crowne Sports Bar, DJ Holiday hosted Sundress and Casamigos night with ladies getting in free with a sundress before 8pm. With their 3$ tacos and $20 hookah, it is almost impossible to say no to going there to turn up!
