Calling out all greeks! We have an event that you do not want to miss when it comes down. If you know anything about parties then you should know no one throws a party like the Greeks. The Atlanta Greek Picnic is near and we are here to turn up in the A all weekend with the Atlanta Greek Picnic and Birthday Bash happening on the same weekend, it’s going to be crazy.
If you do not know what The Atlanta Greek Picnic is then we can give you a little brief summary on what the summer is going to look like. The Atlanta Greek Picnic is an annual summer event that is used to create an elite experience for the members of the prestigious Greek lettered organization. Greeks from across the world travel to the A for this event and have attracted over 35,000 Divine 9 members, which usually begins at an economic value of $25 million each year.
That means that 25 million dollars is being made in expenses just so Greeks can get together and sell their paraphernalia. This weekend has reunited multiple Greeks with their Sandz or Prophytes that they might not have seen in decades due to travelling or relocations. With it being founded in 2004, this event continues to be the highlight of the Greek community.
To kick off the weekend, Friday at the Suite Lounge it’s lit! With the doors set to open at 12 p.m. to 6 pm, Divine 9 will be taking over at their Social Media Hang Out (SMH Day Party). If you want some good chicken cooked from the City Bruhz and hosted by the City Redz then you need to be at the Coleman Love Cookowt. Coleman Love Cookowt is an annual cookout where the members of the proud fraternity Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated and the devastating members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated team together to create that fellowship between the members of these organizations. With the traffic from AGP fluctuating throughout the city of Atlanta, this is a cookout that will be like no other. This will take place at Perkerson Park at 770 Deckner Avenue SW Atlanta, Ga 30318 from 3 pm to 8 pm.
However, for the Official Welcome To Atlanta Kickoff party to The Dome and trust me it’s a night that you do not want to miss. The Opulence: Welcome To Atlanta Kickoff Party will start at 10 pm and the party won’t end until 3 am. Then the well anticipated Atlanta Greek Picnic will take over all day Saturday at 12 pm on Morris Brown College campus.
